Downtown at the technocircus
Robots grin with painted faces
While feasting upon our consciousness
Don’t think for yourself, it’s not allowed
You’ll get your instructions from the cloud
That sassy beast that lives and breathes
With rote effectiveness, it calmly breeds
While shamans praise its brazen sins
They’re just trying to feel whole again
The discontent and anger soars
A binary kraken on our shores
Minds they search for reality
Reaching out for information
The masters of control await
Agents silently manipulate
Quantum particles swarm around
Reaching those out in the crowd
Subsisting on the spoken word
Satiated with tales of woe
Positivity seems to be their foe
Talking in circles, covering tracks
Carving out lanes to break our backs
Repressive fear and cults collide
Banishing us into the night
When out bursts a single ray of light
