My sweet boy Odin only wants
friendship and to play with his
intended new sisters.
But, his playful demeanor has
been met with hissing attacks
and endless ire.
It could have been excused as
the new house, and new people,
and a new cat; but that was
two months ago!
Since then, a kitten has been
introduced and fully integrated
into the feline sisterhood, and
my boy has been diminished
by sexist behavior into a
loner, exiled to the basement.
He, without a backbone to
support himself, will not try
to assert his dominance,
allowing for him to be transformed
from a black cat into a black sheep.
Shame on you ladies, and
may the day soon come when
my boy is atop the cat tree,
as elevated as can be.
I hope he despises your company,
and makes you three tumble—
as Scar did to Mufasa—to
the plush rug below,
usurping your power.
