Beatriz Stanwood
Stardust splatters in my eye—from
My cosmic mouth, I spit
Galaxies into teacups
And beg you to drink.
Careful now, do not choke!
Avoid asteroid fragments
And you’ll be fine.
And see (can you see?)
You’ve drunk a fourth,
Which multiplies now,
The mockery!
So much to see,
My inchworm.
So much to be.
