The river may be dirty
but it never ceases to flow,
riddled with round-up and run-off
it still fosters life on the go.
From the sun warm stony seat
of the island rock below
is the perfect view of landscape
along this rushing water road.
Shores of sand gradually shift
to clay, with boulders a plenty
making their way home, fallen
members from local bluffs of old.
These noble slabs of stone
shelter roots, shade, and homes.
They guard the entrance to land,
where command is passed to the trees.
Inside their forest they create
mystique, vibrant life left
to cycle in nature’s unknown
order, outside the river’s exposure.
That’s where dense growth occurs,
away from the eye of commerce
and within the thick of life
and nature’s abundant love.
The swash shores between provide
peace, amongst lands great protectors.
Balanced amidst the misty breeze
a fertile seed can drink the sun.
